This summer I am excited to be working for Accenture, in Houston within their consulting group. I will briefly give overviews of each week while I experience a learning curve like I never have before. The following is key tasks, lessons learned during my third week on the job.
What a week it was! It went quickly as my team prepared for an upcoming leadership conference. At this conference big decisions were made in order to narrow the scope of the project. The decisions have huge impacts on costs and resources associated with the project but they also have huge effects on how people do their everyday jobs. Most for the better, and some for the worst, depending on how one views change.
Tasks Accomplished
Created new way to take meeting notes utilizing one note
I should really use this on my own computer as a tool - I really like it
Create picture slideshow for Leadership Forum
Support any details and/or deliverables for the Leadership Forum
Design Elements
Confirm content
Analyze and compile wrap-up survey results
Create new slideshow to start compiling safety moments in one place
Complete Bingo design elements
Learned how to use menti technology
Update stakeholder analysis spreadsheet
Give spotlight award
Lessons Learned
Usually tension between IT and the business and the costs (you need the physical equipment and a license to do your job - all a perspective thing)
Provide guidance every time we break out into sessions - adults need guidance too
Engagement can be inexpensive compared to a raise
Boosts morale like crazy!
Evans smiles when I came to take his picture was so big (he received our weekly spotlight award)
He said "I knew this was coming" but with a big smile on his face
